Our Principal
Dr. Carol Francone is excited to be joining the Green Acres family as the new principal this year. She has been an educator in Morgan County for 16 years and is thrilled to join this amazing district and community.
She began her career in education as a teacher and has taught all levels from preschool to high school Algebra I, with her time being spent in first and second grade for many of those years. Most recently, she has served as an assistant principal for several years. She believes learning never stops; hence, lifelong learning is a commitment of hers. In 2023, she achieved her Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Chicago. She also holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University, a Principal License Endorsement from Adams State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Colorado Christian University, and an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. When not in school, Dr. Francone enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and baking.
She has a true passion for student learning and believes all students can learn. Families are an integral part of a child's education and she believes it is the partnership between school and home that sets each child up for their greatest success in the future. Dr. Francone looks forward to working with students and families.
