Important Dates in December

  • Tuesday, December 3rd-Friday, December 6th—DIBELS Testing.
  • Tuesday, December 3rd-Friday, December 13th—Book Fair in the school library. Please watch for more info to come.
  • Monday, December 9th-Family Night from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Come join us for our December family night! We have tons of fun holiday activities planned. We hope to see you there. Don't miss out!
  • Tuesday, December 10th @ 3:45pm—PTO Meeting in the school library. Everyone is welcome to come.
  • Tuesday, December 10th-Friday, December 20th-NWEA Testing.
  • Tuesday, December 17th @ 7pm-Green Acres Choir Program at FMHS. Doors open at 6:45pm. 
  • Friday, December 20th—End of Quarter!
  • December 24-January 6-Winter Break
  • Tuesday, January 7th-Back to school

A Message From Our Principal

Wow - what an amazing first semester we have had! I cannot believe we are in our final weeks. Let's finish this semester strong by continuing to come to school rested and ready to learn. Midyear testing (NWEA and DIBELS) will take place the first two weeks of December to see what we have learned so far and help teachers plan for the areas we need to support next semester. Please encourage your child to try their best! Grades will be posted on Dec. 20 so everything needs to be turned in prior to leaving for break. Thank you for sharing your precious child with us! 

We hope you can join us for the Holiday Family Night on Dec. 9! We have so many fun activities planned.

I have two more challenges for the month:

  1. Embrace the extra family time during the fall and winter breaks. Plan a family game night, family movie night, and/or family activity outside, like taking a walk, going to a playground, building a snowman, or going sledding.
  2. Continue reading over fall and winter break. Books make great gifts too.
