February Events

  • Tuesday, February 11th @ 3:40pm—PTO Meeting in the school library. We hope to see you there!
  • Tuesday, February 14th - Valentine’s Day Parties!
  • Wednesday, February 19th—Class Pictures!
  • Thursday, February 27th—Cookie Day! If your student would like to purchase a cookie please send 50 cents

Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences 

Spring Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, February 24th from 9:30 am-6:30 pm. Each student will receive a note with the date and time of their conference. If you need a time change, please call the office at 970-867-5460.

Reminders 

  • Please remember that students go outside for  recess when the temperature is 20° or above. Please send them to school dressed appropriately for the weather.
  • Friendly reminder to please have Valentine’s day deliveries delivered to your home and not Green Acres. We do not accept deliveries. This includes flowers, candy, balloons, etc. Thank you for your understanding.

A Message From Our Principal

January flew by quickly and the second semester is off to an amazing start! February is going to be full of love, kindness, and works of the heart! It has been so wonderful to see parents join us for lunch! Parents are always welcome to eat the lunch offered for just $5. The food is delicious! As the weather has become colder and there are more vehicles, we would like to continue to partner together to keep the after school pick up line moving smoothly and be as quick as possible. To help with this process, we ask you to make sure to pull all the way forward in the line and we will send the students to your car. We all appreciate your help making this a quick and enjoyable experience for everyone. 

Two more challenges this month:

  1. Tell your child one thing you love about them each day. February is the month of love. 
  2. Plan a special activity together to do something fun (go sledding, play a board game or cards, watch a movie, build a snowman).
